William A. Lovis is retiring from Michigan State University after nearly 50 years as a student and faculty member in the Department of Anthropology.
Bill’s approach to archaeology converges on the relationships between people, their culture, and their physical environment. This intersection is the basis of environmental archaeology and Bill has been an active practitioner of this approach throughout his career.
